The Area Sales Manager has overall responsibility for the identification, development, and successful closure for all sales objectives in their specified territory in order to meet their monthly and quarterly goals. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.   RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate all phases of the sales process with potential customers. Including but not limited to: preparation of sales and business presentations, proposals, contracts, P.O.’s, invoices, etc. Qualify all leads generated in the Territory and prioritize with the objective of closing
  • Develop, manage, and customize financial models that support the Company’s value propositions for targeted market segments and customer profile
  • Maintain accurate customer records with detailed contacts and account activity throughout the sales order process utilizing the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application
  • Support Field Services in the procurement of necessary documentation and information that facilitates and expedites project installation, service and support
  • Support the Sales & Marketing Teams in the procurement of necessary documentation and information that facilitates and expedites the preparation of rebate applications for the Customer
  • Participate in the development of marketing campaigns to support the achievement of sales objectives in the assigned territory. Continually provide feedback and intelligence to the marketing department on campaign effectiveness
  • Insure Sales Order Process procedures are maintained and followed through coordination and communication with other company departments
  •  Identify, develop, and manage Sales Channel partners within the Territory
  •  Identify and prioritize professional firms that will positively influence market acceptance of company and its products. Organize direct outreach activities that create a foundation for peer support and lead generation

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years of demonstrated sales/account management experience. Experience in the high-tech sector selling to the “C” level within a company is a must
  • Ability to interact with partners at all levels with demonstrated experience selling to the commercial and high-end residential customers
  • Must have a proven track record with a demonstrated ability to exceed quota selling value over price
  • Must be able to work independently with little direction identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities
  • Strong analytical capabilities necessary (Excel, financial analysis of deals and pricing)
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a start up environment for fast paced company with leading edge technology
